The Primary Mental Health Brief Intervention Service funds one GP counselling sessions/consultations for individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues. The service provides funding to GPs for acute mental health support to those presenting with an acute mental health need or to be able to fund safe follow up for someone with a mental health need.

The B4 School Check (B4SC) is a universal, comprehensive check for all four-year-old’s that includes height and weight, vision and hearing, immunisations, oral health, and behavioral and developmental components.

This service aims to improve access to after hours care for children under 14.

The service focuses on collaboration between the patient, their GP and mental health providers to remove barriers for these patients to access primary care, and to assist the patient to reach a stage where they are able to self-fund their primary care.

The subsidy provides a payment so that skin lesion surgical procedures can be offered to patients who would otherwise be unable to afford this service.

General practice plays a critical role in the delivery of childhood immunisations. This funding aims to alleviate some of the administrative burden currently being experienced by general practice and is part of a broader approach to support an increase in completion of 6-week immunisation rates. Please note this funding is available 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2025.
